Etho vaarmukilin::

Here is a great lullabi in Sree raagam.

Click on the player below to listen:

Song : Etho vaar mukilin kinaavile
Raagam : Sree
Movie : Pookkaalam varavaayi
Music : Auseppachan
Lyrics : Kaithapram(?)

The most popular kriti in Sreeraagam is Thyagaraja's
"entharo mahaanu bhaavulu". It has already appeared
in 3 or 4 Malayalam movies..

Hi Ajith,
I am from Kozhikode. I grew up hearing a lot of film songs broadcast by Akashavani - both old & new. So when I learned carnatic music much later in life, it was easy to analyze & classify the already familiar tunes.

Glad you found it useful!

Dear Kishor,
'Etho vaarmukilin..' is not composed by Johnson. It is done by Ouseppachan.

Hi Madhavan,

Thanks for the correction. I have changed it.

Reference site http://www.malayalasangeetham.info also says Ouseppachan.
