രവീന്ദ്രന്റെ മാസ്റ്റര്‍ പീസായ “മാമാങ്കം പലകുറി കൊണ്ടാടി” യാണ് ഈ മാസത്തെ ബ്ലോഗ് രചന. മാസത്തില്‍ ഒരു ഗാനമെങ്കിലും പബ്ളിഷ് ചെയ്യാനാണ് വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നതെങ്കിലും കഴിഞ്ഞമാസം രാഗകൈരളി ഡാറ്റബേസിന്റെ മലയാള പരിഭാഷയില്‍ മുഴുകിയതിനാല്‍ പാട്ടുകളൊന്നും ചെയ്യാന്‍ പറ്റിയില്ല. ഈ പാട്ടിന്റെ കരയോകെ പലയിടത്ത് അന്വേഷിച്ചെങ്കിലും കിട്ടിയില്ല. അതിനാല്‍ ഇതിന്റെ അവിഭാജ്യ ഘടകമായ വയലിന്‍ സംഗീതത്തെ സ്വരങ്ങളാല്‍ പുനऽസൃഷ്ടിക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു പരീക്ഷണം നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്!
ഈ പാട്ട് ഞാന്‍ ഇന്നലെ ബോസ്റ്റണ്‍ മലയാളി അസോസിയേഷന്റെ ക്രിസ്തുമസ് പരിപാടിയില്‍ പാടുകയുണ്ടായി. പരിപാടിയില്‍ പാടിയ മറ്റൊരു പാട്ട് മുന്‍പ് ഞാന്‍ ബ്ലോഗിയ ഏതേവാര്‍മുകിലിന്‍ ആയിരുന്നു(ലിങ്ക് ഇവിടെ). അമേരിക്കന്‍ പ്രവാസിയായ ദിവ്യ ഉണ്ണി അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ശാസ്ത്രീയ നൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ (പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് കുച്ചിപ്പുഡി തരംഗം)പരിപാടിക്ക് മിഴിവേറ്റി. ഭാരത സംസ്കാരത്തിലൂന്നിയ ഇത്തരം പരിപാടികള്‍ പ്രവാസികളുടെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ എന്തുമാത്രം പ്രാധാന്യമര്‍ഹിക്കുന്നതാണെന്ന വസ്തുതയെക്കുറിച്ച് ദിവ്യ ഉണ്ണി ആര്‍ജ്ജവത്തോടെ സംസാരിച്ചു.
Presenting "Mamankam palakuri kondati", a great patriotic song from the album Vasanthageethangal. This could be considered as a master piece of Raveendran. I presented this song yesterday at Boston Malayali Association's Christmas program.

kishore, i have noticed the ragakairaly site around the time you started it and has been a fairly regular visitor. it is only when u said u completed 10 years that i realised that i forgot about what i wanted to say for a few years - a wonderful concept and effort for dissipation of musical thoughts. only in the last few months did I realise you had a blog it looks nice.
